Jewel Box Theatre and BPA Launch New Theatre School
The Jewel Box Theatre and Bainbridge Performing Arts are joining forces to launch a new collaborative theater school in Poulsbo this fall. The Bainbridge Performing Arts and Jewel Box Theatre School collaboration will offer classes to first-fourth graders, who will produce and present The Jungle Book, as well as to fifth-eighth graders, who will produce and present, The Adventures of Pinocchio. Both productions have been adapted by BPA Artistic Director Steven Fogell.
All classes and performances will be at the Jewel Box Theatre in Poulsbo. The first-fourth grade production class will be on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4-5:30 p.m. from September 13-October 20. A final performance is set for 3:00 p.m. on October 24. Tuition for the class is $150. The fifth-eighth grade production class will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-6:00 p.m. from September 14-October 21. A final performance is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on October 24th. Tuition for the class is $250. Scholarships are available.
